This was one of the best decisions I made as a Type A DIY bride.
For my ceremony, she was able to meet me outside of my car to ensure no guests saw me enter the church and brought me a water bottle with electrolytes to ensure I was hydrated before the ceremony began.
For the reception, Melissa and her team made my vision come to life as they nailed every detail I had envisioned for my wedding day. THANK YOU for making my day stress free and really being in the moment to enjoy all that I planned. Her team was able to do the setup and takedown of the event and gave a huge help to my family the day of.
There was a hiccup with my mariachi not showing up but with Melissa, she was able to calm me quickly and we set up a plan with the DJ to change a few things and honestly made it a seamless experience. Many of the guests didn't know about the situation which shows how great Melissa's work is. Also, Melissa was very attentive to my husband and my needs and ensuring we had drinks, or whatever we needed at the moment throughout the night and checking on the vendors if they needed assistance. Melissa made sure everything was running on the specified timeline I had created and would even ensure my dress was bustled at all times to not fall. Lastly, the bubble exit went off perfectly and all my guests loved it.
If you are second guessing about getting a day of coordinator/decorator, don’t hesitate in booking Melissa and her team. They truly deserve all the recognition to make your day special.

​We first found Happy Camper Events (Melissa Campenella) from Facebook group and met with her shortly via call to go over the details for our August 2024 wedding. We knew going in we wanted a day of wedding coordinator to run our wedding day as we had secured all the vendors and had a high-level timeline. After our first consultation, we were ecstatic to book her since she had different experiences as a coordinator and was within our budget. Working with Melissa was absolutely amazing! Melissa asked questions we hadn’t considered yet. We were in constant communication. Melissa was easily accessible and helped us with the detailed schedule. She also gave suggestions when we were making some decisions. We met her at our venue during the first meeting to go over the details such as the vendor layout and timeline. She also was present for our wedding rehearsal with our wedding party, which she led.
Moving to the day of the wedding, Melissa arrived a bit early and promptly and checked in with me. She got going in setting up the reception tables with our centerpieces with the help from our wedding party. After the ceremony, Melissa kept everything running smoothly until the very end and helped to work with the vendors such as our photographer, DJ, photobooth, and decor person as each person arrived for their contracted time. Her support was immensely helpful as she made sure we stayed hydrated and fed as it was going to be a long day. She checked in with us periodically throughout the day! She was also ready to go with wedding emergency kits such as Tide pen, safety pins, etc. in case we had a wardrobe malfunction. Most importantly, as a bride, I was set on walking down the aisle by myself, and Melissa’s presence and tips gave me the confidence to do that since it’s not the typical method. At the end of the day, Melissa did a final check in with us before she ended her duties for the day, which we appreciated.
Overall, Melissa has great communication skills, her preparation is top-notch, and she genuinely cares about her clients’ well-being as weddings can be stressful. We certainly appreciate her work and time. We would definitely recommend her especially if you are looking for a coordinator, who can truly support you!

I’m writing this review to express how grateful I am to have had Melissa and Mallory by my side to help with everything and anything on my special day. I didn’t have a vision on how I wanted things set up my main focus was just to marry the love of my life. As all the decorations were brought in I told Melissa & Mallory do as you see fit and I'm sure it would be perfect & it was just that! They set everything up to perfection & made it looks very lovely! They were extremely attentive on my special day & the months/weeks leading up to the wedding day. Any questions I had Melissa would respond very quick & from our first phone call made us feel comfortable & took a ton of weight off my shoulders with all the stress leading up to the wedding. She coordinated the wedding perfectly & we stayed on track for the whole timeline of the wedding!( As it can be hard chatting with all your friends & family). We ran out of plates during the dinner service & I didn't know until the end because Melissa was so fast & ran to the store to get more before I could even be stressed about it! Working with Melissa and Happy Campers Events was absolutely amazing! We had a meeting before our wedding to go over every detail imaginable. Melissa and her team asked questions I didn't even think of. We were in constant communication. Melissa was easily accessible and helped me bounce ideas when I was making some decisions. When I wanted to add bartenders and more support, they were on it with no issues.
Moving to the day of the wedding. It was raining all day and our ceremony was supposed to be outside. We had a contingency plan to have the ceremony indoors. An hour before the ceremony was about to start, the sun came out. Melissa and her team wiped down all the chairs and set up for an outdoor ceremony. It was truly magical. After the ceremony, Melissa and her team kept everything running smoothly until the very end. They went above and beyond in all aspects of our wedding.

Melissa and Mallory were lifesavers in the days leading up to our wedding, and on the magical day itself! Melissa was always attentive and responsive to any last minute texts, calls, and questions, and came prepared with a detailed plan for how to execute her services. Their decorating skills were wonderful, and without giving them much instruction except for the greens themselves, they were able to make our wedding venue look beautiful. Melissa was calm and collected, even when everything went wrong (and we were one of those couples who had a wedding where everything seemed to go wrong: roads to our venue were backed up the day of due to an accident; caterer showed up late; officiant showed up late; no power for most of the day, etc.) and always took the pressure off of us and onto herself, working hard behind the scenes to fix whatever she could. And in the end, we ended up having a gorgeous wedding, in no small part due to the help of Melissa and Mallory. Trust me, you'll want them there by your side to handle crises when they inevitably arise. We absolutely recommend them and their services!

Melissa was the day of wedding coordinator for my wedding and I could not have been happier. I really wanted to be able to enjoy the wedding and remember the day and I didn’t want to rely on my family or friends for that. Melissa was professional from the start, gathering all the information she needed via text and emails, keeping up with my planning over the course of 11 months, and sending me alerts for any deadlines coming up. I loved that she took the time to drive all the way out to our venue the week before and did a walk through with me even though we didn’t get to have a rehearsal. That made me feel confident and reassured. She also gave me all the good tips like where to place the vendors, when to restock the bar, and how to keep valuable gifts safe and secure. Without her I would have encountered these issues on the day of and started to freaking out! I am happy that I got to plan the wedding the way I wanted but had Melissa to help make it come true!

Melissa did an amazing job from start to finish. She always responded back quickly to me, answered any and all questions, called me to calm me down when my original reception venue fell through 2 months before the big day. She even went above and beyond in trying to help me find a new place or giving me suggestions, even though I only booked her for day of services for my reception! Melissa was very detailed!
I couldn’t have been more happier on my big day, nothing went wrong. We were running behind during the reception and my photographer said we had to skip one thing either the grand exit or table visits pictures and Melissa stepped in and “said nope we’re making it all happen!” We even had a hiccup earlier in the day (nothing to do with Melissa) my dad didn’t make it to walk me down the aisle at the church ceremony and Melissa even found a way to incorporate that into my reception so he could give me away to my husband, even with us being behind.
So overall Melissa went above and beyond with every part of her service, I didn’t need to worry about anything and I got to actually enjoy my day. She is worth every dollar I spent.
